I didn't forget about October...

..it was just a crazy busy month.

We will start with Mr. Jake. Norah always calls him Jaker. He is the sweetest boy on the planet. He rarely cries and he always has a smile. He recently started giving the most AMAZING hugs. He wraps his arms around your neck and just squeezes, sometimes holding for 10-15 sec. Randy and I just love these hugs. This week he started climbing up into the little rocking chair with a book and looking at the pictures. He loves books and he helps with reading the story.
He is also a rascal. He dumped out this box of cherrios (laughing and thinking that was the best idea he has ever had) then sat down and started eating of course. He also loves water, baths- you bet, but the toilet- it must be a splasher's dream because we can not keep him out of it. How can you get upset at this face.
Jake sat on a horse for the first time. Jake currently says 3 things (maybe 4)- "Mama", "dada", what sounds like "Hihaw", and "whoa". When I put him up on the horse, he felt the mane and said with a very straight face "whoa","whoa","whoa" over and over. So sweet.
He has found a great friend in Norah, especially since Madilyn started school. She is very kind to him and he is learning that she likes to by with him and helping him (a little to much sometimes) but he handles it pretty well. We know that all that she does is with love.
Norah girl is the most fun girl to talk to. She has so much expression when she talks. She uses her head and hands so much when she is telling you her stories. She is so kind. She takes such good care of our family. She loves to pick out daddy's shirt and and Jacob's outfits. She loves to help with dishes. She is also teaching Jake everything she knows when it comes to climbing and daring tricks. I think that Jake gets his love of water by watching her. She fills up the sink, soaking towels and wash clothes and washing toys every time she is suppose to be washing her hands. She is a joy! We love our Norah girl so much!

Our Halloween 2011 was spent at 3 parties, 5 pinatas, so much fun and way to much candy (that I have hidden throughout the house- ha ha)! Yes, these are the same costumes we had the last 2 years, but i haven't had time for making them- PTA president has taken almost every spare moment I have had this month. We had the Costume Carnival this month and it was NUTS but very successful. I had so much support from my family, ward members, PTA members, teachers and kind volunteers. We did it! We made over $1000 more than past years. Yipee!

Jake wasn't feeling to good during this party. Usually he is all smiles:( poor baby!
Miss Madilyn is very smart. This little kindergartener has been going into 1st grade everyday for reading and math. She is doing great. The 1st grade teacher said she will be testing into the next reading group in her class soon. She is a sweetheart and all the different teachers who have gotten to know her tell me how smart and sweet she is. She wanted to be the witch with the green face for Halloween but she didn't want to be called "wicked". She loves to draw people. She is so fast with her work in class that she usually has time to draw a master piece on the back of every paper. She is quiet the artist. She is doing amazing at the piano. She retains the songs she has learned and plays a lot of them by memory. She has been playing for almost one year and she have finished almost 5 books. I am taking lessons along with her and we are having fun learning together.

This was a birthday gift I made for Madilyn's teacher.
