More than 80% of car seats are installed wrong. As a mom, I think this is so important and I just wanted to share my information. These are a few very important steps to make sure your seats are safe.
1. The car seat or base is straped in the car it should not move from side to side more than 1/2 inch when push and pulling it.
2. When you child is in the car seat. The straps should be snug and the chest buckle should be over the childs nipples.
2. When you child is in the car seat. The straps should be snug and the chest buckle should be over the childs nipples.

3. The carrying handle should be lowered to the back of the head (to behind the car seat).
How a rear-facing car seat works in an accident: At impact the car seat is made to follow the movement of the vehicle. When hit at the front the vehicle, the car seat will fold up to the back of the vehicles seat and then bounce back down to the original position. This is why it is so important to leave the carrying handle folded back. If it was left up in the carrying position, the car seat would stop at the handle and only your babys head would keep moving.
The safest place for your baby is in the back-center of any vehicle.
I hope this information was of so help to someone. If you have any questions you can set up appointments to have your car seats checked at health and fire departments and at car dealerships.
